Forsyth Ancient Lightweight Tartan is green and blue based tartan with a yellow overcheck, woven using 100% Pure New Wool. Can be made into kilts, clothing, soft furnishings and craft-projects. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

The origin of this name is doubtful, but it may be derived from the Gaelic Fearsithe, meaning “Man of peace”. A Forsyth (to use the modern spelling) was given land at Sauchie, Stirlingshire.
