MacLellan Ancient Lightweight Tartan is a colourful tartan with shades of blue, green, yellow and red. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
The MacLellan Tartan can be traced back to 1881 and has also been associated with the name Maclaren, Gillies and MacLeish. The MacLellans as a family were numerous in Galloway and also around Aberfeldy and Morar and, although they are claimed as septs of the MacDonald, MacNab, MacLennan and Douglas Clans, they are now established themselves as a strong independent Clan.
