Abercrombie Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a navy and green-based Strome tartan with a white overcheck. Woven using 100% Scottish Wool, Strome tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, upholstery and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
The origin of the name of this Strome tartan is from the small parish of Abercromby in Fife. The lands and title were given to a supporter of Edward 1 of England, who became William de Abercromby suggesting a Norman origin.
