Boyd Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a bright red and green based Strome tartan with yellow overchecks, woven using 100% Scottish Wool. Strome tartan can be made into kilts, clothing, upholstery and craft-projects.
One likely derivation of the name of this Strome tartan is that it is taken from the Island of Bute, the Gaelic name of which is Bod. This, in the genitive becomes Bhoid.
