Forsyth Ancient Heavyweight Tartan is green and blue based tartan with a yellow overcheck. Woven using 100% British Wool. Can be made into kilts, clothing, upholstery and craft-projects.
The origin of this name is doubtful, but it may be derived from the Gaelic Fearsithe, meaning “Man of peaceâ€. A Forsyth (to use the modern spelling) was given land at Sauchie, Stirlingshire.
