MacAlpine Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a traditional dark green-based tartan with shades of blue and yellow.
The Clan, usually called "Soil Ailpein," was the name given to several clans claiming Royal descent. King Alpine, who was murdered after defeating the Picts in 834, is claimed as the ancestor of the MacAlpine clans. Be this as it may, the name Alpine is an ancient one in Scottish history.
