MacDonnell of Glengarry Modern Lightweight Tartan is a classic green-based tartan with shades of blue and red. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
MacDonald (now MacDonnell) of Glengarry shares the same origin as MacDonald of Clanranald, being sprung from Ranald, son of John, 1st Lord of the Isles. In 1427, the lands of Glengarry reverted to the Crown, after which the MacDonalds occupied them as Crown tenants.
