Modern MacNab Medium Weight Tartan is a bright orange-based tartan with shades of green and purple.
In Gaelic the MacNabs are called Clan-an-aba, meaning "Children of the Abbot". They claim to be descended from the Abbot of Glendochart and held lands at Loch Tay. These lands were forfeited during opposition to King Robert the Bruce.
